12 Free Cat Games on Mobile and Tablet Every Cat Lover Should Try
If you’re a fan of cats and looking for something fun to play, there are so many free cat games on mobile and tablet!
I’ve put together a list of my favourite cat games for Android and iOS, each offering something a little different. Whether you want a relaxing idle game, enjoy caring for some cute abandoned kittens, or solve puzzles with a feline twist, there’s a wide variety of cat-themed games!
These cat games are simple to play, and all are free to download on your mobile or tablet, so you can get in some cozy game time on your commute, snug in bed, or whenever you need a quick dose of feline cuteness in your day!
Each game on this list has its own unique charm and style, so I hope you find some new comfort games to add to your collection.
A quick note on ads: Since these games are free, you’ll usually see some ads or in-app purchases. Don’t feel pressured to make any purchases or feel like you’re missing out if you choose not to spend money! I’ve played all of these games without spending a penny, and each one is still fun and fully playable. Sometimes you’ll see offers for special items or deals, but these are always optional.
1. Secret Cat Forest

Secret Cat Forest is a relaxing game where you make a cozy home and fill it with cute cats!
There are no goals or challenges. You simply collect wood and go fishing to gather resources. This enables you to craft furniture and decorate a forest cabin to attract different cats.
It’s a simple, stress-free game that won’t take up a ton of your time.
2. Cats & Soup

Cats & Soup is a popular idle game where, as you might have guessed, adorable cats are busy making soup!
As you play, you’ll unlock new cooking stations and recipes, and you can collect cute outfits to dress up your cats.
The artwork and animations are super cute, and there are regular events where you can earn special outfits and decorations for your cats’ cozy minirooms.
3. Cats & Soup: Fluffy Town

This game comes from the creators of Cats & Soup, and you’ll notice the same art style right away! Even though it looks familiar, it plays quite differently.
In Fluffy Town, you’ll grow crops, place buildings and farm areas, and craft all sorts of products to sell. As you earn coins, you’ll unlock even more crops and buildings to expand your town!
You can decorate and arrange the town however you like, and best of all, the cats wear the same cute outfits as they do in Cats & Soup!
4. Dear My Cat

My Dear Cat is a gentle idle game where you slowly build up a magical floating island, unlocking new themed areas as you go.
Along the way, you’ll invite all sorts of cats to join your island community, each with their own unique personalities and looks. You can upgrade your cats to boost their productivity, and collect cute outfits to customise how they look.
Visually, it’s a beautiful game that’s clearly been designed to be calming and relaxing!
5. Cat Game

I guess the name gives it away – this is indeed a cat game! In this simple but surprisingly addictive game, you feed cats to earn baskets. Each basket contains either a new cat to add to your collection or materials to help you upgrade the rooms in your cat tower.
Every floor has its own theme, and the cats are super cute! There are also fun little mini-games you can play to collect extra coins.
6. Cat Rescue Story

Cat Rescue Story starts with you inheriting an old, abandoned house from your great-aunt, who has mysteriously disappeared. Your job is to care for the abandoned cats left on your doorstep and fix up the house, room by room, restoring it to its former glory!
You look after the cats by feeding them, playing with them, and making sure they’re healthy. This allows you to level them up and eventually match them with adopters, making room for new cats in need of rescue.
There are lots of different breeds to collect, each one based on real-life cats, and it’s the most realistic cat game on this list!
7. Meow Tower

If you love nonograms as I do, Meow Tower is the perfect mix of puzzles and cats!
You solve nonograms of different difficulty levels to earn cans of fish, which you use to buy decorations for your cat tower. Each cat tenant has their own style and preferences, so you decorate each floor to match.
As you play, you learn more about your cats, unlock new ones, and new floors in your tower!
8. Cats & Soup: Merge Forest

This is another Cats & Soup game, this time combining merging mechanics with a dash of sorcery!
In this game, you merge different ingredients to add to a bubbling, magical pot to unlock decorations and upgrade your house, turning it into a cozy, mystical space filled with adorable cats.
The magical theme adds an extra layer to the already lovable Cats & Soup games, and the animations are incredibly cute!
9. Alcatmist

Alcatmist is another merging game featuring cats and magic, but this time it puts you in the role of a shopkeeper running your own magical store!
You merge different items to create spells and potions, which help you upgrade your shop and attract all kinds of different cat customers.
10. Duet Cats

Duet Cats is a fun rhythm game where you help two cats catch their ice cream in time with the music!
You guide both cats left and right to grab falling food, all set to catchy songs you’ll definitely recognise, except now, the lyrics are replaced with meows!
It’s a pretty funny game that’s perfect if you love cats and music!
11. Cat Magic School

Cat Magic School is an idle game inspired by Harry Potter, but with a magical cat twist!
You’ll upgrade classrooms and professors to help your cat witches and wizards complete their studies and pass the elemental magic exam.
12. Cat Condo 2

Cat Condo 2 is another merge game, but this time you combine matching cats to discover new breeds and fill your condo with adorable felines.
You can also win cute outfits and dress up your cats for extra bonuses and play mini-games to win coins and diamonds.
It’s a super simple game that doesn’t really require any brain-power, so it’s perfect for just unwinding with something cat-themed!
