The Best Cozy Apple Arcade Simulation Games: 10 Games Worth Playing

If you love games that let you build, manage, and explore, Apple Arcade actually has a decent variety of great simulation games!

Whether you’re into life sims, farming adventures, or running a cozy cat cafĂ©, I’ve put together a list of the best simulation games available on Apple Arcade.

You’ll find popular favourites as well as some hidden gems that you might not have discovered yet!

1. Stardew Valley

I couldn’t start this list without mentioning Stardew Valley, as it has become a classic in the farming sim genre!

In the game, you take over an old, rundown farm where you can grow crops, raise animals, and bring the farm back to life.

However, there’s much more to the game than just farming. You can spend your days building relationships, collecting resources, completing quests or exploring various storylines. There’s so much to do that you can spend hundreds of hours in this game!

2. Japanese Rural Life

Japanese Rural Life is a bit like a simple Stardew Valley, but set in the Japanese countryside.

While it may not have the same depth as Stardew Valley, it’s still a fun and cozy game with similar activities, like restoring your farmhouse, growing crops, fishing, cooking and crafting.

It also includes elements that reflect its Japanese setting, such as traditional Japanese foods, customs, festivals, shrine visits, and traditional homes.

3. Wylde Flowers

An image of Tara from cozy game Wylde Flowers, stood next to a beehive and surrounded by flowers.

Wylde Flowers is more of a narrative-driven sim and follows Tara, a woman who moves to a small town and discovers its magical secrets.

It’s a farming sim with a twist, as you practice witchcraft while working through a fully voiced story. You can still expect all the other typical aspects of similar games, such as fishing, mining, crops, crafting and cooking.

I even have some Wylde Flower guides to help you make the most of the game!

4. Hello Kitty Island Adventure

Hello Kitty Island Adventure is a cozy life-sim where you explore a colourful island, and build friendships with familiar Sanrio characters.

Your aim is to restore the abandoned Big Adventures Park by completing quests, crafting items, decorating spaces, and uncovering areas across different themed biomes.

5. Disney Dreamlight Valley

There’s a reason Disney Dreamlight Valley has become incredibly popular since its release in 2022, and it quickly became one of my favourite games!

The game has everything you would expect from a life-sim, including resource gathering and crafting to complete quests, along with a surprisingly deep and thoughtful main storyline.

There is also a lot of customisation when it comes to decorating the valley and your house. Many players in the DDV community have created some truly impressive areas!

However, the Apple Arcade version of this game lacks some features available on PC and consoles, such as the Star Path and the premium store. As a result, there are no microtransactions or premium currency systems in this version.

6. Tamagotchi Adventure Kingdom

Tamagotchi Adventure Kingdom is exclusive to Apple Arcade, so you won’t find this game anywhere else!

You step into the shoes of Mametchi, exploring a whimsical world shaken by a tamagotchi meteor. The world created in this game is very quirky, featuring funny hot springs, and bright, colourful scenery.

The gameplay loop combines exploration, item gathering, questing for Tamogatchi characters, crafting, and camp building, all infused with an upbeat and optimistic tone.

7. My Sims & My Sims Kingdom

MySims, a nostalgic favourite from 2007, combines life simulation with creative building. The game mainly focuses on creating furniture, decorating towns and homes, and encouraging players to express their creativity.

MySims Kingdom, which came out a year later in 2008, has more of a focus on a structured story and quests. Whatever your gameplay style, both games are available on Apple Arcade.

8. Food Truck Pup+

Running a food truck has never been more adorable! In Food Truck Pup, you harvest ingredients, distribute flyers, and serve customers to upgrade your truck and expand your business. Plus, all your staff members are cute puppies!

There is no timer for serving customers, which makes it more relaxing and less stressful compared to similar games. However, I found that progress can be a bit slow, and you have to wait an hour between missions, which makes levelling up harder.

Overall, it’s still a game worth trying with its cozy pixel art style and adorable puppies, especially if you’re looking for something simple and straightforward with undemanding customers.

9. Furistas Cat Cafe+

Furistas Cat Cafe is a cozy sim that puts you in charge of running your very own cat cafe.

In this game, you unlock and level up various cats, match them with customers, and serve the occasional food or drink order. You can also buy decor and furniture to decorate your cafe.

The gameplay is simple and stress-free, plus it has adorable cats and cute animations!

10. Turmoil+

An image showing the game Turmoil, with oil rigs drilling down into the ground and collecting oil.

A different kind of simulation, Turmoil focuses on strategy and resource management. Set during an oil rush, you bid on land, drill for oil, and compete against rivals.

It’s surprisingly addictive, and there’s something weirdly satisfying about finding pockets of oil and strategically laying out your pipes. As you earn money, you can buy upgrades to improve your oil operations and buy shares in the town!
