12 Games Like Disney Dreamlight Valley
Disney Dreamlight Valley has quickly become a cozy favorite since its 2023 release, and it’s easy to see why!
It perfectly blends Disney magic with familiar cozy game mechanics, such as planting crops and mining, while still adding something new.
Whether you’re helping Mickey Mouse with a quest, redesigning your valley, or just relaxing with some fishing on Dazzle Beach, it’s the kind of game where hours slip by before you know it!
You can build friendships with Disney characters, old and new, and customise everything from your character’s look to the whole valley itself.

And if you’re looking for more games with that same magical, relaxing vibe, you’re in the right place! These cozy games capture the things I love about Dreamlight Valley, like farming, decorating, and quest-based storylines.
Each one has its own twist on the genre, so hopefully you can find your next cozy game like Dreamlight Valley!
I’ll also keep this post updated with any new games I find that remind me of Dreamlight Valley or that I think you’ll like if you’re looking for a Dreamlight-esque game!
What Makes a Game Feel Like Dreamlight Valley?
There’s nothing out there that’s exactly like Dreamlight Valley, so when making this list, I focused on games that had similar gameplay features.
Things like:
- Cozy, low-stress gameplay
- Life simulator with a story and quests
- Character relationships and gift giving
- Farming and gathering resources
- Customisation and decorating
- Magical and fantasy elements
1. Wylde Flowers

If you enjoy Disney Dreamlight Valley, you’ll likely love Wylde Flowers for its cozy, magical feel and focus on characters and story.
Both games share similar features such as quests, farming, resource gathering, crafting and building relationships with villagers.
However, the decorating options in Wylde Flowers are limited. There is no customisation available for your house, and very few options for your farm. You basically just decide where to place your garden beds for growing crops and trees.
2. Hello Kitty Island Adventure

Swap your Disney villagers for Hello Kitty characters in Hello Kitty Island Adventure!
Similar to the character quests and gradual world progression in Dreamlight Valley, you complete story quests by gathering resources, solving puzzles and crafting items to unlock new areas and restore an abandoned theme park.
3. Stardew Valley

Stardew Valley is a super popular life-sim game with some similar elements like farming, fishing, crafting, and building relationships with various villagers.
Stardew Valley leans more into farming than Dreamlight Valley does, and the mining aspect includes combat as you explore the different levels of the mines.

4. Disney Magical World 2

If you’re looking for something a little more Disney, this Nintendo 3DS game from 2015 is available on Switch!
You can meet all your favourite Disney characters, go on quests, collect resources, and enjoy familiar activities like fishing, gardening, crafting, and decorating.
5. My Time At Portia & My Time at Sandrock

My Time at Portia and its sequel, My Time at Sandrock, feature similar quest-driven progression where you gather resources, craft items, complete tasks for villagers, and gradually improve your home.
However, both games are slightly more challenging than DDV, with more complex crafting systems and workshop management, but that’s also why I like them!
They are great games, with an interesting plot, setting and characters.
6. Palia

If you love Dreamlight Valley, you’ll probably find a lot to love in Palia too!
There are plenty of familiar activities, like growing crops and fishing, as well as new ones, such as raising ranch animals and hunting.
There are also lots of quests to complete and a range of interesting characters, some of whom you can romance. While you can’t decorate the whole valley, you do get your own plot of land and a house to make your own.
There is a big difference, though, as Palia is a free-to-play MMO, so you’ll see other players exploring the world alongside you and can chat with them as you play.
It’s also a little more complex than Dreamlight Valley, so there’s a bit of a learning curve at first, but it’s free to play, so there’s not much to lose!
7. Summer in Mara

If fetch quests are your thing, then Summer in Mara is a cute little game set among beautiful tropical islands.
You look after your own island by planting crops and raising animals, then sail across the ocean to explore new islands, meet interesting characters, and discover their stories along the way.
Summer in Mara is more quest-focused, and most of your time is spent sailing between islands, picking up quests, and helping out the people you meet by finding and delivering items.
8. Animal Crossing: New Horizons

Animal Crossing: New Horizons is such a cozy classic and so well-known, I considered not including it on this list! But if you haven’t played it yet, then you’ll likely love it.
There’s less to do in Animal Crossing, but if decorating in Dreamlight Valley is your thing, you can fully customise your island. You can even shape the land, adding waterfalls, cliffs, and rivers. The community is extremely creative, so there’s lots of inspiration to be found online too!
9. Coral Island

Coral Island is more of a farming sim than Dreamlight Valley, but both games share some features, like completing quests as you move through a story.
You’ll find lots of familiar activities like fishing and mining (though these mines are a little more dangerous and include a combat element), along with some fun new ones, such as diving.
Decorating in Coral Island is limited to your farm and house, with a bigger focus on growing crops and caring for your animals.
10. Story of Seasons: Grand Bazaar

If you like Dreamlight Valley, you’ll probably like any of the games from the Harvest Moon or Story of Seasons series.
These series created the farming sim formula, with familiar elements you’ll recognise in Dreamlight Valley, such as growing crops, fishing, cooking, crafting, and building friendships with your neighbours as you complete tasks and quests.
In Story of Seasons: Grand Bazaar, your job is to revive your farm and bring Zephyr Town and its bazaar back to life, where you will sell your farm’s produce and goods.
11. Sun Haven

If you like farming sims, Sun Haven, like Dreamlight Valley, has a magical twist!
Set in a fantasy world, Sun Haven blends magic with farming. You can plant crops, care for animals, fish, mine, and craft as you explore three unique towns. Along the way, you’ll meet elves, angels, demons, and all sorts of magical creatures as you help save the town from the Encroaching Darkness.
There is a bit of combat, but you can turn on invincible mode to make the game more stress-free if that isn’t your thing!
12. Grow: Song of the Evertree

In Grow: Song of the Evertree, you clear The Withering, a purple thorny vine much like the Night Thorns in Dreamlight Valley.
The primary objective of this game is to rebuild the town and restore the Evertree. This is done by completing quests, crafting items, decorating spaces, and placing and upgrading buildings.
Which Game Should You Play Next?

- Love farming and relationships? Story of Seasons, Stardew Valley or Coral Island
