A Complete List of Animals & Colours in the Planet Zoo Barnyard Pack

The Planet Zoo Barnyard Animal Pack brings several farm animals to your zoo, making it the perfect way to set up a petting farm for your visitors.

This pack doesn’t add a new exhibit animal, but it does include seven new habitat animals and more colourmorphs than any other Planet Zoo DLC.

The new farm animals included are Sussex chickens, Highland cattle, Alpine goats, alpacas, American Standardbred donkeys, Hill Radnor sheep, and Tamworth pigs.

You can find 49 different colourmorphs in this pack, though none of the rare ones like melanistic or albino. Still, some colours seem harder to find than others.

Here’s a full list of the animals and their colourmorphs included in the Planet Zoo Barnyard Animal Pack.

Sussex Chicken

The Sussex chicken is one of the oldest breeds in the UK, with roots going back to England around the time of the Roman invasion in AD 43.

They are known for being curious and friendly, and often become quite tame.

Speckled Sussex chickens can change over time as they develop more white speckles on their feathers after each yearly moult.

In Planet Zoo, Sussex chickens are available in three colors for both males and females: light, speckled, and coronation.

These Scottish cows have a unique double coat, with a soft, warm undercoat and a long, oily outer layer.

A group of Highland cattle is called a fold, not a herd. They can live up to 20 years, which is longer than most other cattle breeds.

Planet Zoo’s highland cattle come in seven colours: three shades of brown, one black, and three lighter shades.

These adorable goats are known for their curiosity, intelligence, and friendliness.

Alpine goats are built for life in the mountains. They move with agility, making it easy for them to climb steep slopes and rocky paths.

They have many different coat patterns, each with a French name. In Planet Zoo, there are eight colors: three shades of brown, three brown broken chamoisee, blanc, and noir.

Alpaca

Alpacas are native to South America and were first domesticated by people in the Peruvian Andes around 6,000 years ago.

The ancient Inca civilization valued alpacas highly. Their soft fleece was reserved for Incan royalty and seen as a symbol of wealth. Alpacas were so important to Inca culture that hunting them was forbidden.

Alpacas are pregnant for about 335 days, though sometimes pregnancy can last over a year. They give birth to a single baby, and about 90 percent are born during the day.

Planet Zoo features 13 alpaca colors, including shades of brown, grey, and white.

American Standard Donkey

Donkeys are often thought of as stubborn, but this actually shows how smart they are. They weigh risks before making choices, can solve tricky problems, and have excellent long-term memories. They remember places, animals, and people they met years ago.

They show their emotions through small changes in their facial expressions, which can reveal how they are feeling.

Because they are alert and protective, donkeys are very valuable on farms. They help protect sheep and goats from predators such as foxes and wild dogs.

In Planet Zoo, the American standard donkey is available in nine colours. There are three white, three brown, and three spotted varieties.

Tamworth Pig

Tamworth pigs are among the oldest and purest pig breeds. Unlike many other European breeds, they have changed very little over the centuries because they were not crossbred with Asian pigs.

They’re often called the ginger pig thanks to their thick red coat, which helps protect them from sunburn.

Today, Tamworth pigs are used in rewilding projects to help restore natural habitats. They do well in forests and are the closest living relatives of the Old English Forest pig.

Tamworth pigs in Planet Zoo can be found in three different shades of red.
