Every Animal Colour in Planet Zoo’s Arctic Pack

The Planet Zoo Arctic Pack is the smallest DLC for animals, adding just four to your zoo and no exhibit animal. Each animal is suited to the harsh cold and long, dark winters of the Arctic.

This pack features Arctic wolves, Dall sheep, polar bears, and reindeer.

Since there are few animals and two only come in one color, there are not many colormorphs in this pack. There are just eight in total, and most are white.

Here is a full list of all the animals and their colourmorphs you can find in the Arctic Pack.

OVERVIEW
Total number of animals: 4
Habitat animals: Arctic wolf, Dall sheep, polar bear and reindeer
Total number of colour morphs: 8
Animals with special coats: Reindeer

Arctic Wolf

The Arctic wolf is a subspecies of grey wolf found in the Canadian Arctic, Alaska, and Greenland. These wolves are specially adapted to survive in some of the harshest conditions on Earth.

Their ears are smaller and more rounded, and their noses are shorter than other wolves, reducing the surface area exposed to freezing cold.

Because they live in remote, harsh places, Arctic wolves are the only wolf subspecies not considered threatened. Their isolation means they rarely encounter humans. However, climate change is now their biggest threat.

In Planet Zoo, arctic foxes come in three different shades of white.

  • White fur coat with brown mottling
  • Cream white fur coat with brown mottling
  • Blonde white fur coat with brown mottling

Dall Sheep

Dall sheep are well adapted to life on the windy peaks of Alaska and northwest Canada, where few other mammals can survive.

They are the only wild, white sheep in the world. Their colour helps them blend in with the snow and avoid predators.

When male Dall sheep crash their horns together, the noise echoes through the mountains and can be heard from more than half a mile away.

In Planet Zoo, Dall sheep are only available in one colour.

  • White wool coat

Polar Bear

Polar bears live across the icy waters of the Arctic. They spend most of their lives on the sea ice, relying on the ocean for both food and shelter. This makes them the only bear species considered to be marine mammals.

Underneath their thick fur, polar bears have jet black skin. Their fur is actually translucent, but it looks white because it reflects light.

Climate change is still the biggest threat to polar bears, but it’s not the only challenge they face. Oil and gas companies are moving into the Arctic, bringing new risks of habitat loss and oil spills.

In Planet Zoo, polar bears only have a single colour, with their familiar white (translucent!) fur.

Total colourmorphs: 1

Colour is listed as:

  • White fur coat

Reindeer

Reindeer are found in the Arctic tundra, and they’re unique among deer because both males and females grow antlers.

Unlike humans, reindeer can see ultraviolet light. This special skill helps them find food and stay safe during the long, dark winters in the Arctic.

Their eyes even change colour with the seasons. In summer, reindeer eyes are a golden shade, but in winter, they turn a deep blue to help them see better in the dim Arctic light.

In Planet Zoo, reindeers come in three colors: two different shades of brown and a leucistic white.

Total colourmorphs: 3

Colours are listed as:

  • Brown and white coat
  • Pale brown and white coat
  • Leucistic: White coat with dark mottling
